Removing an old COME APK after an update

An old installer file in Downloads is separate from the installed COME app. Verify the update before deciding whether to remove that saved file.

Check the update result

Open the app, confirm that the intended account is accessible and inspect version information if available. Android reporting completion is useful, but it does not by itself confirm every later account or service function.

Select the file carefully

In the browser or file manager, compare names, dates and locations to identify the obsolete installer. A duplicate-name suffix is not a release number. Do not select app storage, account data or unrelated downloads while cleaning up.

Keep future needs in mind

Deleting an APK removes that local installer copy; it is not the same action as uninstalling the app. If you need a future installer, return to a current traceable source rather than assuming an old local file will remain appropriate indefinitely.

A useful next step

Review installer files individually and remove only copies you recognise and no longer need.
